February 01: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2180 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 931 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1249 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 63 people are positive from operational resorts, and 811 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 141,060 cases, including 17,743 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 6,403 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 2206 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 123,027.
According to HPA, there are 63 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 277 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
