February 02: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2142 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 771 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1372 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 48 people are positive from operational resorts, and 1053 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 143,202 cases, including 17,721 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,985 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 2163 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 125,190.
According to HPA, there are 62 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 278 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
