The Maldives has recorded over 131,000 tourist arrivals in January 2022.
As per statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism, as of January, Maldives has recorded 131,764 tourist arrivals in the Maldives since the beginning of the year. Which is 43.1% growth compared to January 2021.
During the month of January, on an average daily 4,250 tourists arrived in the Maldives.
The statistics showed Russia at the top market for the year with 24,464 tourist arrivals. Followed by the UK with 14,276 tourist arrivals, and India with 11,438 tourist arrivals.
So far Maldives has recorded 139,555 tourist arrivals this year.
