February 07: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1576 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 517 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1059 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 87 people are positive from operational resorts, and 771 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 151,913 cases, including 16,775 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,343 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1696 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 134,841.
According to HPA, there are 60 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 284 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
