February 08: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1502 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 351 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1151 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 163 people are positive from operational resorts, and 817 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 153,415 cases, including 16,368 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,972 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1908 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 136,749.
According to HPA, there are 62 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 285 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
