The Tourism Ministry of the Maldives has stated that over 35% of employees in the tourism sector have received their booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The recent statistics also show that over 99.5% of employees in the tourism sector have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Out of which, over 97.5% of employees have completed their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
To ensure that the Maldives is a safer holiday environment, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has prioritized safety assurance for the tourists and employees in the tourism industry. Hence the tourism sector employees have been given a green light at the forefront of the Vaccine queue, to encourage vaccination.
The Maldives began its nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign on February 01. Since then, over 397,000 people across the Maldives have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Out of which, over 370,000 people have received second dose and over 106,700 people across the Maldives have received their booster dose.
