February 17: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 805 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 90 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 715 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 52 people are positive from operational resorts, and 637 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 162,974 cases, including 15,504 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,411 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1006 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 147,167.
According to HPA, there are 28 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 299 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
