February 20: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 844 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 104 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 740people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 38 people are positive from operational resorts, and 670 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 165,073 cases, including 15,035 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,996 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 866 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 149,734.
According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 291 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
