Parliament member from the opposition party, PNC, Adam Shareef Umar, said that the dangers to the Independence of the governance will lead in dangering the Islamic values followed in the Maldives.

He said this in regards to the statement by the speaker of the parliament Nasheed, accusing extremist leaders being behind the ongoing India out campaign in the social media.

Shareef also added that those who believe in foreign military stay in the country, are not thinking about the Nations future and this will lead to encourage Maldivians to believe in other religions and promote building temples and churches in the Maldives.

In a recent press conference held at the parliament, Nasheed addressed the ongoing India out campaign and said that before an extremist terrorist group takes over a country, they will be trying to separate the country from other foreign nationals. He also accuses the campaign India out, as a similar activity run by a few people and hopes that no political party will support them . He further added that Maldivians do not have any concerns of Indian Military present in Maldives.

India Out campaign was started through concerns raised when Indian military officers started working in the country operating the Dornier flights and helicopters gifted from India. Opposition members also believe that the relationship between India and Maldives will lead to danger the independence of the governance of Maldives.

Meanwhile the state claims that the opposition cannot digest the economic developments of Maldives.
