Parliament member, Ikram Hassan denies the accusations of assaulting a Rapid Response Team (RRT) official.

Speaking to ‘Ras Online’, Ikram denied the accusation of hitting an RRT official, during the process of Covid-19 test sample taken at Maafannu Madharusa. He said that he went to take the test sample after spending 14 days in quarantine.

Further detailing, Ikram said, while the test sample was taken, the RRT official put the testing swab further inside in his nose, and with a reflex reaction caused from extreme pain, he held the RRT officials hand and tried to remove the test swab inserted in his nose.

Ikram also said that this is not his first time taking a Covid test and it wasn't painful back then. Hence after taking the recent Covid test sample, he has said that the people who take samples so brutally should not be allowed to take samples.

Speaking to some of the local media, RRT official has accused MP Ikram of hitting her while the Covid test sample was taken and the incident has been reported to the police.
