Maldives Police Service arrested a 39 year-old man with half a Kilo of drugs after checking a home in A.A Fenfushi.
He was arrested upon the intelligence information received on suspicion of using and trafficking of the harmful drug crystal meth. The drugs were found from the search operation conducted by the Police intelligence and Fenfushi Police station on 8th of October.
As per the information from Police, a rubber packet and 2 rubber bags were found suspected to contain drugs crystal meth, from his home. His home was searched by the Police through a court order, and the temporary weight of the seized drugs added up to 536.2 grams.
Police also accuse the arrested man as a drug trafficker in A.dh atoll. He has been granted 15 days in custody for further investigation from the Mahibadhoo Magistrate Court.
Police have also said that the investigations for this case is continued jointly with Mahibadhoo Police Station and Fenfushi Police Station.
