Higher Education Minister Dr. Ibrahim Hassan gives assurance on addressing the challenges faced by the students of the Flying school in Addu City.

He gave his assurance regarding the inquiry raised by MP Rozaina following the concerns raised by the students of the Flying school in Addu City. Dr. Ibrahim Hassan further said that Higher Education is working to address the challenges and concerns raised by the students.

Minister also said that the concerns raised by the students have been discussed with the Flying school and it has been requested to address the concerns within the school as well.

Further detailing, the minister said that the school's statement on the concerns raised over the issues of accepting more students than the capacity of the school, was questionable, hence its been requested to the school to submit related documents as proof. Minister also admitted that so far, the Flying School has not responded to the request to submit related documents.

Minister said that these challenges faced in the investigation are in discussion with the relevant authorities to address the concerns raised by the students.

The challenges and concerns faced by the students of the Flying school in Addu City have been raised repeatedly to the Civil Aviation and Higher Education Ministry. Students have also raised concerns about the estimated time allocated to finish the Flying course in 12 - 18 months by the Flying school, while on average it takes 3 years to finish it.
