The Education Ministry announces regular classes of grade 7 and 8 to be restarted in Male’ City, during this month.

As per the Ministry of Education, the decision comes in reference to the current situation and advice from the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives. It has been decided to restart the regular classes for grade 8 on Monday, and regular classes will restart to grade 7 on October 25th.

Meanwhile, regular classes have been continued for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, since the 4th of October.

Due to COVID-19, Maldives has closed all the schools and continued classes through teleclass, online google classroom, and Viber. But in the month of July, all the schools reopened and in all the islands other than male,’ continued studies from grade 1 - 12 classes while in Male’ city; studies were continued for only grade 9 - 12 classes. However, as cases once again resurged Male’ city schools were once again closed.
