October 13th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 50 positive cases from 1,389 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 48 Maldivians and 02 Foreigners.

A total of positive cases records 46 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 04 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 10,993. This includes 1,118 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.

HPA also reported the recovery of 50 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,833 people recovered.

There are active COVID-19 cases in 18 resorts and in 20 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 10 Tourists and 19 staff.

Maldives has recorded 35 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
