October 15th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 51 positive cases from 1,534 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 33 Maldivians and 18 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 46 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 05 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 11,113. This includes 1,140 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 51 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,9931 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 19 resorts and in 18 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 15 Tourists and 22 staff.
Maldives has recorded 35 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
