President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Thursday appointed Ahmed Thasmeen Ali as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Singapore.
The President presented the High Commissioner with his letter of credence at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
Ahmed Thasmeen Ali completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. Earlier, he served as the Minister of Atolls Administration, Minister of Home Affairs, and as a Member of Parliament and the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
