The Indian man who mocked Islam publicly while being intoxicated gets deported from the Maldives.
As per Maldives Police Service, the intoxicated Indian man was arrested on the 2nd of October and he is deported from the Maldives on the 13th of October.
When he was arrested he was publicly mocking Islam while visibly being intoxicated. The incident had taken place at Abadhah Fehi Magu, at approximately 10:00 pm on 2nd October. Although he was arrested from the scene of the incident, he was then released from the court's decision, not to leave him detained.
He was a medical doctor who worked at a private clinic in Male'
A lot of public concerns were raised from the circulated video of the incident. Where it's seen the man continues to mock the religion of Islam and challenge the police, claiming he had influence over the local courts.
