Three Chinese airlines have decided to resume flights to the Maldives after three year's break.
These airlines are reportedly set to start flights to the country this month. This is the first time Chinese airlines would be resuming flights to the Maldives since COVID-19.
Beijing Capital Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines are among the airlines that will start flying to the Maldives from China.
Beijing Capital Airlines will fly to the country from the 18th of this month, till 22nd of next month. China Eastern Airlines is scheduled to operate flights from January 28 to March 28, while Hong Kong Airlines will start flights to the Maldives this month and the flights will continue until March 23.
Before COVID19, China was the largest tourist market in the Maldives. According to the Ministry of Tourism, 284,029 tourists arrived in the Maldives from China in 2019.
