Since the border reopening on the 15th of July, records show that 41,766 tourists have arrived in the Maldives.
As per the Tourism Ministry records, 1752 tourists arrived in July, 7628 tourists arrived in August, and in September 9,538 tourists arrived in the Maldives. The Tourism Ministry has also stated that 21,309 tourist arrivals have been recorded in October, making it the most number of tourist arrivals recorded in a month following the border reopening.
The Tourism Ministry has recorded 1st of November as the most number of tourist arrivals in one day, recording 1590 tourist arrivals.
The Tourism Ministry has stated that so far, 1210 tourists have arrived at guesthouses, and guesthouses in Maafushi island have seen the most number of tourists arrivals, recording 548 tourists so far.
Following the border reopening, the Tourism Ministry has permitted 307 Tourist facilities to reopen including, 127 resorts, 2 Yacht Marinas, 5 Hotels, 120 Safari, and 53 guest houses.
