November 16th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 110 positive cases from 1,828 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 31 Maldivians and 79 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 86 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 24 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 12,314. This includes 947 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 27 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 11,316 people recovered.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 26 resorts and in 10 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 52 Tourists and 128 staff have been tested positive for covid-19 in the resorts.
So far, Maldives has recorded 44 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
