December 31st, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 19 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded includes 14 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 05 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,757 cases, including 561 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 316,704 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,455 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 16 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,141.

According to HPA, there are 29 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 48 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
