Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel on Wednesday, claiming it repelled two Israeli attempts to breach the border.

This escalation follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s warning that Lebanon could face devastation similar to Gaza.

Hezbollah reported engaging in ground combat with Israeli forces while Israel stated its air defenses intercepted projectiles fired from Lebanon, prompting sirens in southern areas, including Haifa. The conflict has intensified since September 23, with over 1,150 fatalities and more than a million displaced.

In a video address, Netanyahu urged the Lebanese to distance themselves from Hezbollah, stating they have a chance to save their country from prolonged conflict. This warning coincided with the one-year anniversary of the war against Hamas, which resulted in significant casualties.

Hezbollah’s deputy leader vowed to continue attacks, making it difficult for Israelis to return to the north. Concurrently, Israel’s military announced an expansion of its offensive against Hezbollah, conducting targeted operations in the southwest and striking the group's strongholds.

The violence extends beyond Lebanon, with Israeli strikes in Syria targeting Iranian and Hezbollah locations. As both sides engage in retaliatory actions, civilians continue to suffer amidst the escalating conflict, with no resolution in sight.
