January 15th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 50 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 27 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 23 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 07 people positive from operational resorts and 16 people positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,375 cases, including 845 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 358,426 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,188 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 11 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,474.
According to HPA, there are 61 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
