Azerbaijan Airlines has officially launched direct flights from Baku to Malé, with the inaugural flight landing at Velana International Airport yesterday at 9:45 am.
MACL Chief Commercial Officer Mohamed Mihad stated that the new route will strengthen travel connections between Azerbaijan and the Maldives, providing Azerbaijani tourists with easier access to the Maldives’ renowned destinations.
Azerbaijan Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Jamil Manizadeh emphasized that the direct flights to a sought-after destination like the Maldives offer Azerbaijani tourists added convenience, especially during the winter season.
The airline will operate two weekly flights on the route, utilizing Airbus B787E aircraft.
