The Governments of the Maldives and Tajikistan have formalized a mutual visa exemption agreement, enabling citizens of both countries to travel visa-free for up to 30 days.

The agreement was signed in New York at the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan. Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, the Maldives' Permanent Representative to the United Nations, represented the Maldives, while Hikmat Jonibek Ismoil, the country's Permanent Representative, Represented Tajikistan.

This bilateral agreement formalizes the two nations' existing unilateral visa-free travel arrangements, further strengthening their diplomatic and cooperative ties.

The agreement underscores both governments' commitment to enhancing connectivity, fostering cultural exchanges, and facilitating the ease of travel for their citizens.
