September 8th; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports decrease of positive cases, recording 74 positive cases within 24hours. This includes 59 Maldivians and 15 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 63 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 11 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With the new update, as per (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; the total infected cases to Covid-19 has reached up to 8741 in the Maldives. This includes 2549 active cases to Covid-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 105 infected people adding up to 6157 as total recovered cases in Maldives.
Currently there are active Covid-19 cases in 23 resorts and in 25 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. So far 17 Tourists and 48 staff have been tested positive to covid-19 in the resorts.
Maldives has also recorded 29 deaths from Covid-19 up-to-date.
