January 28th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 106 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 93 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 13 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 15,496 cases, including 1,410 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 400,640 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,292 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 62 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 14,028.
According to HPA, there are 116 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 51 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
