Former Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has stated that the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) is the party that will bring hope and positive change to the Maldives.
He made the remarks in a post on X while congratulating several former MDP leaders on their return to the party.
Shahid urged more people to join the MDP in its efforts to strengthen democracy and empower the people. He described the party as one that stands for progress and reform, emphasizing its role in shaping the nation's future.
His remarks come after several key political figures rejoined the MDP. Among them are former Vice President Mohamed Shifaz, former party Chairman Hassan Latheef, former MP Ali Azim, and Hussain Amr, the former Chairman of the Party's Policy Committee and ex-Managing Director of STO.
