January 29th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 118 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 87 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 31 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 10 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 15,614 cases, including 1,492 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 403,645 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,902 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 36 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 14,064.
According to HPA, there are 142 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 51 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
