Police at Thinadhoo Council after theft case was reported
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has strongly denied allegations made by the Thinadhoo Council, claiming that the commission stole items from the council office during an official visit.

According to the ACC, a team from the commission visited the Gdh. Thinadhoo Council office yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation and obtained necessary documents related to the case.

However, earlier today, the Thinadhoo Council accused individuals, allegedly claiming to represent the ACC, of stealing several items from the council office. The council has reportedly suspended some of its services while the matter is being investigated.

In response, the ACC issued a statement firmly rejecting the allegations, calling them baseless rumors that are "unacceptable and misleading." The commission emphasized that all documents were obtained lawfully and noted the lack of cooperation from the council during the visit.

The ACC assured the public that it operates strictly within the legal framework and expressed concern over the council’s statements, which they believe undermine public trust.

No further details have been released by either party, and it remains unclear what actions will follow as the situation develops.
