The Maldives reiterated its firm support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
"The international community must take a resolute stance against such provocative statements that undermine regional stability," the statement urged.
The government further highlighted that these remarks not only infringe upon Saudi sovereignty but also represent a continued denial of Palestinian rights. The Maldives called for global action to uphold peace and justice in the region.
