The 60-year-old female was admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital for further treatment to Covid-19, while she passed away at 11:07 am on this Sunday. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirms that this would be the 55th Covid-19 death from Maldives.
Maldives reported the first death to Covid-19 on April 29 last year. As per the statistics, a total of 48 locals and 07 foreigners have passed away from Covid-19 complications.
So far, 16,656 cases have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, out of which, over 14,556 infected people have been recovered.
