President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has approved the launch of a nationwide campaign to raise public awareness on road traffic regulations, following a recommendation from his Cabinet.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday after President Muizzu submitted the proposal as part of efforts to improve road safety and reduce traffic violations across the country.
The campaign will be spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, in partnership with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, and the Maldives Police Service.
According to the government, the initiative aims to educate the public on the importance of adhering to traffic laws and promoting a culture of safe driving throughout the Maldives.
