Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail has reiterated the party’s commitment to securing the rights of workers, saying the MDP will always strive to ensure that workers receive what they deserve.
In a message marking Labour Day, Fayyaz extended greetings to all workers and reflected on the significance of the day as a time to honour the efforts made to secure labour rights, often under challenging and dangerous conditions.
He noted that Labour Day serves as an important reminder of the victories achieved through collective struggle and as a call to continue standing up against ongoing injustices, particularly at a time when the government is actively curtailing those rights.
Fayyaz also highlighted the MDP’s continued advocacy for workers across the nation.
He said the MDP remains committed to building a resilient economy that upholds the dignity of workers and ensures fair treatment and opportunities for all.
