February 20th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 145 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 89 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 56 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 32 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 18,612 cases, including 2,282 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 488,068 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,883 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 96 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 16,061.
According to HPA, there are 162 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 60 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
