President and Chief Scout Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to resolve key challenges faced by the Scout Association of Maldives and its volunteers.

His assurance came during a ceremony held at the President’s Office, where he was presented with the World Scout Badge and conferred the President’s Scout Award.

Recalling his own time as a Scout, President Dr. Muizzu stressed the need for a permanent facility for the organization, noting that frequent relocations to unsuitable buildings were no longer viable.

He praised the Scout movement for its 69 years of service to the nation, particularly its role in community building and national emergencies. At the event, Scout Association President Mohamed Nazeef presented the World Scout Badge to the President, who in turn honored seven recipients with the President’s Scout Award and appointed eight new Scout Council members.

Marking National Scout Day, the President also shared greetings via his official X account, commending the contributions of Scouts past and present in promoting unity and national service.
