President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has established a new state-owned enterprise, Infrastructure Development Solution Company Limited, under Article 15 of the Companies Act (Law No. 7/2023).
The company was formed by Presidential Decree No. 14/2025 and its establishment was announced in the Government Gazette today. Fully owned by the Government of Maldives, the company will spearhead urban development projects across both densely populated and rural areas.
According to the Government, the company will focus on construction, casting, and related activities using modern technology and resources, aligning with the administration’s broader economic and infrastructure agenda.
Infrastructure Development Solution Company Limited has been granted an authorized capital of MVR 100 million, divided into 10 million shares valued at MVR 10 each. It will function as a separate legal entity, empowered to enter into contracts and engage in legal proceedings independently.
