In a landmark decision on June 6th at the International Labour Conference 2025, Palestine was officially granted Observer Status at the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The resolution was adopted with 386 votes in favour, 15 against, and 42 abstentions.
The Maldives national delegation expressed pride in standing with Palestine in support of the resolution, describing the moment as a significant step in recognizing the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people within the international labour community.
