President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ismail Naveen as the new Commissioner of Police.
The official insignia presentation ceremony was held this afternoon at the President's Office.
Commissioner Naveen, who joined the Maldives Police Service in 2006, has served in several key leadership roles, including Head of the Corporate Services Directorate, People Directorate, Central Policing Command, and Forensic Services Directorate. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Northumbria, England.
