Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday declared that the country’s nuclear activities would continue “under any circumstances,” as the conflict with Israel entered its ninth day.

Speaking with French President Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peaceful nuclear development but made it clear that Tehran would not agree to reducing its nuclear programme to zero. His comments were reported by Iran's official news agency IRNA.

While expressing willingness to cooperate in confidence-building measures, Pezeshkian issued a strong warning to Israel, stating that continued “aggression” from the Israeli side would be met with an even “more devastating” Iranian response.

The remarks come as Israel continues its airstrikes targeting Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure, sparking fears of further escalation in the region.
