France has airdropped 40 tons of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced on Thursday. The aid, delivered from planes departing Jordan, included essential food, water, and medical supplies. "We must flood the Gaza Strip with food, water, and medicine," Barrot said, noting that current emergency assistance remains "clearly insufficient."

Meanwhile, Germany pledged an additional €5 million (approximately \$5.7 million or 21 million shekels) in humanitarian aid for Gaza's civilian population. During a visit to Israel and the Palestinian Territories on Friday, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said the funds would go to the UN’s World Food Programme to support bakeries and soup kitchens providing bread and hot meals.

Berlin also plans to help finance a field hospital in Gaza City operated by the Order of Malta. Wadephul urged Israel to restore cooperation with the UN on aid delivery, stating, "The humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip is now so great that it is not justified to create further obstacles."

He added that the best way to prevent Hamas from diverting aid is “to allow as much food and aid as possible into the Gaza Strip.”
