President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to advance the development of B. Fulhadhoo in close cooperation with its residents, assuring swift implementation of projects that align with community needs.
Speaking during his visit to the island as part of his Baa Atoll tour, the President identified the water and sewerage system as the most urgent concern, announcing that work will begin this August with an expedited timeline. He also committed to including the construction of an accommodation block for workers in the 2026 budget, alongside a new mosque.
Healthcare upgrades will see the introduction of laboratory services at the health centre this year, while education and sports facilities will be developed as needed. On tourism, President Muizzu confirmed that the management of B. Innafushi will be handed to the Fulhadhoo Council under a joint plan with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.
