MDP President Abdulla Shahid has extended warm greetings to China on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
In a post on X, Shahid congratulated President Xi Jinping, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and the people of China, describing the milestone as a testament to the “resilience and progress of the Chinese nation.”
Highlighting the long-standing ties between the Maldives and China, Shahid noted that the two countries share a history of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation. He expressed deep appreciation for China’s contributions to the Maldives’ development and the enduring people-to-people connections that continue to strengthen bilateral relations.
