March 16th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 153 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 132 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 21 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 02 people are positive from operational resorts and 13 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 21,819 cases, including 2,406 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 585,713 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 4,561 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 97 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 19,342.
According to HPA, there are 126 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 64 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
