March 17th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 142 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 112 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 30 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 19 people are positive from operational resorts and 11 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 21,961 cases, including 2,371 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 589,866 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,777 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 177 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 19,519.
According to HPA, there are 118 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 64 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
