Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Imran Abdulla has accused President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of using religion and nationalism only as tools to gain power and financial advantage.
Speaking at a press conference held by the Adhaalath Party today, Imran said the public must recognize that President Muizzu invokes religion and nationalism solely to secure two objectives: staying in power and making money. He said that when it comes to the President’s political interests and financial dealings, religion and national identity hold no real value.
Imran further alleged that the country is now witnessing plans to remain in power through major crimes, including taking money from international criminal networks and jeopardizing the Maldives’ independence, religion, and sovereignty.
He said the Adhaalath Party will not allow such actions to continue and will work with the public to resist them.
