President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message to His Excellency Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, wishing him a speedy recovery following the news of him testing positive for Covid-19.

In his message, he shared his concerns following the news of him testing positive for Covid-19.

The President sent his prayers on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, for a full and speedy recovery. Further, he reiterated his commitment to work alongside the Pakistan Government towards the goal of overcoming the ongoing pandemic.

President emphasized that the Maldives and Pakistan will always remain good friends, and will always work together in a friendly spirit towards fulfilling common goals.

Pakistan Prime Minister positive to Covid-19 was announced on Saturday by the Pakistan Minister of Health.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has been holding regular and frequent meetings lately, including attending a security conference held in the capital Islamabad that was attended by a large number of people. He also addressed the conference without wearing a mask and attended another gathering to inaugurate a housing project for poor people in a similar fashion on Friday.
