The local male who passed away this Saturday evening has been declared as the 66th death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
As per the morning announcement by the Health Protection Agency (HPA), last night at 08:25 pm a 66-year-old male brought to the IGMH emergency room in an unresponsive state was declared dead at 08:45 pm and he was tested positive to Covid-19.
With the additional death, the death toll has risen to 66 in the Maldives.
The Maldives reported the first death to Covid-19 on April 29 last year. As per the statistics, a total of 58 locals and 08 foreigners have passed away from Covid-19 complications.
