Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Abdulla Shahid has met with the High Commissioner of India to the Maldives, H.E. Sunjay Sudhir.
During the meeting held today, both Minister Shahid and High Commissioner Sunjay Sudhir both discussed the progress of ongoing projects in the Maldives. Discussions were also held about the progress of the ongoing projects under the Line of Credit and grant projects from the support of India.
In addition to this, both discussed the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to the Maldives.
As per the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC), the Maldivian government will be purchasing 300,000 doses of the Covishield vaccine from the Serum Institute of India. This will be in addition to the 200,000 doses of Covishield vaccine that the Maldives received as donations from India.
