Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the new harbor basin dredging works for the N. Landhoo Harbor development project.
MTCC has also commenced the installation of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction on March 22.
The MVR 32.4 million Landhoo Harbor development project was handed over to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure.
Scope of works for the project includes dredging and excavation operations of 25,000cbm, the construction of a 256m quay wall, a 401m breakwater, and a 60m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, streetlights, and installation of 1,280sqm of a paved area, will also be undertaken.
